GRADING SYSTEM

  1. The maximum load for full time students is twelve (12) units. Students are not allowed to carry an overload of subjects. However, in the case of graduating students, the Registrar upon recommendation of the Dean of the graduate School, may authorize, in special cases an overload of three (3) units. The maximum load for part time students is nine (9) units.
  2. Removal of incomplete grades (No Final Grade/NFG) shall be made within the succeeding trimester, otherwise re-enrollment of the subject shall be required.
  3. The numerical system will be adopted in giving grades. The passing mark is 2.00 with earned credit.
  4. To earn the degree, the student is required to write and defend a masteral thesis, which can be started after completing all academic requirements and passing the written comprehensive examination.
  5. The students should pay the corresponding examination fee. An oral defense fee and adviser’s fee will be charged to the candidate. The student should pay the following fees:
        a. Comprehensive Examination Fee
        b. Oral Defense fee
        c. Adviser’s Fee
        d. Graduation Fees (Including TOR, Diploma etc.)
  6. The basis for payment of the above fees will be based on the current fees approved by Management.
  7. Students with a weighted average of 1.25 or better and with no grade lower than 1.50 may apply for academic honors.
